Producing and laying about a million tons of asphalt annually requires a large QC department where several density gauges may be in use at any given time. As a result we have training needs with regard to nuclear gauge safety and HAZMAT. Since flexibility is key to our business, the on-line training provided by ATI allows us to get the needed training and certifications on our schedule and not someone else’s. We have found that ATI provides easy to use and up-to-date material for such training. I have taken the following classes online from American Technical Institute: ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector- Code Knowledge and Plans Reading as well as the ICC Structural Masonry- Code Knowledge. I found the courses to be very helpful with familiarizing myself with the code books. I passed both of the tests on my first try, and I would highly recommend the courses to anyone thinking about talking the tests.
